CALL FOR PAPERS Vol. 13 - No. 16
CENTRAL THEME: Gender and communication.

The Argentine Journal of Communication, edited by the Argentine Federation of Social Communication Careers (FADECCOS), opens the call for the issue No. 16 to be published in September 2025.
The intersection between the field of communication and gender studies has grown in recent years. Research work is increasing, as well as policies for mainstreaming the gender perspective in teaching, outreach and management and the review of the construction of the perspective itself and activism around the issue.
Efforts from the academic and management fields focus on a variety of aspects: the different forms of violence and discrimination in journalistic practices, the gap in access to hierarchical positions in media and industries in the communication and cultural sector; the management of communication in institutions and organizations, the policy of visibility/invisibility of the various gender identities, among other aspects.
In times of systematic attacks on gender policies and agendas, aggression against journalists and communicators, restrictions on access to public information and interruption of policies to promote the plurality of voices, the gender agenda becomes key to the construction of democratic communication.
For this reason, this publication will seek to contribute to critical reflection on the following lines of work:
Production of content, languages and narratives in a gender perspective
Representations of bodies and violence in the media and networks
Gender gaps and inequalities in the field of communication
Gender diversity and identities
Mainstreaming of the gender perspective in institutions and organizations
Feminist activism in the field of communication and culture
The call invites the submission of academic works in the following formats:
Articles
Essays and Research Advances
Interviews
Bibliographic reviews
Deadline for receipt:
June 13, 2025
Evaluation period: June-July 2025
Publication date: September 2025
The texts submitted must comply with the editorial standards of the RAC and will be subject to a rigorous peer review process.
